Photo session from Sheki bazaar...I (one)

People in Sheki do not go to supermarkets for major grocery shopping. For that they go to bazaar. Usually they do that on Sundays. During my last trip I also went to bazaar and took some photos (in addition to shopping:) that I thought I would share with you.

Lets start from nuts, raisins and like products...

hi! I just found your blog. Thank you for the stories and images. I was born in Baku in 1979. My family and I lived in the old part of town, right at Icheri Shekher until 1984, when we moved to Moscow. We went back every Summer to visit my grandmother, until about 1990, when they moved to America. I have not been back to Baku since then and I still miss it very much, even though my memories are childhood memories. I hope to come back one day and find all the places I vaguely remember.

Hi. Weather in Sheki is great, warm/hot during the day, cool and very pleasant in the morning/evening and night. Mountains...Actually this year is very rich in terms of fruits in Sheki, trees have been very generous so everyone is quite glad.
